Stainless steel (inox) bars and solid profiles
Stainless steel bars and stainless steel profiles are used for various constructions, as girders, sub constructions guide rails and the like.
Stainless steel bars are used in shipbuilding, for various machine components, couplings, girders, coupling elements, fence supports and facades, for screw connections, shafts, valves, etc. The choice of material quality depends on the area of application (please refer to Main features of the most important stainless steels used in food and processing industries).
Stainless steel round and hexagonal bars are offered, besides in AISI 304 i AISI 316L quality, also in AISI 303 (W.Nr.1.4305) quality. This quality is suitable for processing on automated tools because, as opposed to AISI 304 materials, the chips crack off so the tool does get heated up and is not so much exposed to wear and tear. However, due to increased sulphur (S) content, its application in the food and processing industries is limited. Re-bars, so-called REVAL are applied in civil engineering
For manufacturing of ship shafts, upon your request, we can offer AISI 630 (W.Nr.1.4542), so-called MARINOX17.
