Stainless steel tubes can be divided into two basic groups, round and square or rectangular tubes. Stainless steel round tubes can be divided into welded and seamless ones. The welded stainless steel tubes can be found in a much wider range of applications than the seamless tubes. The seamless stainless steel tubes are used for extremely high pressures. It should be pointed out here that welded stainless steel tubes welded in TIG procedure can hold high pressures. Therefore, considering their much lower price, before ordering you should consider carefully which tube meets your requirements.

Stainless steel TIG welded round tubes are used for the production of pipings in food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Apart from pipings, stainless steel round tubes are used in architecture, civil engineering, shipbuilding industries, as construction elements or components for fences, handrails, etc. For these purposes it is possible to use cheaper stainless steel tubes, welded in high frequency procedure (HF), but not suitable for bending of small radiuses.

Stainless steel tubes are delivered in AISI 304 and AISI 316L qualities, depending on their purpose (please refer to Main features of the most important stainless steels used in food and processing industries). Depending on decorative requirements, several surface qualities are being offered: metallic polish, brush-finished, ground and polished. Although stainless steel is resistant to various conditions, the fences made of stainless steel still require maintenance, especially the ones located near seawater. It is generally recommended to make such fences in AISI 316L polished quality, with regular maintenance by cleaning mops and 3M sprays from our sales programme.

The square and rectangular tubes are made by high frequency (HF) process, intended for use in civil engineering, architecture, catering, etc. Most often they are used to build supporting structures, fences, sheds, substructures, etc.

Stainless steel hollow bars are used in the production of valves, union flat joints, couplings, axle boxes, etc.
